Austin Visuals 3D Animation Studio reports : In the present, most films come out with viewing it in 3D as an option. 3D films generally cost the audience a little more than it would to view it in 2D. But how do you decide whether or not the film is worth watching in 3D? There are actually a few ways that can help you make a better choice the next time you are at the theaters.
Ever taken off your 3D glasses during a movie? If you have and realized that the graphics on the screen aren’t much different than when you had your glasses on, then the movie has failed the test. The blurrier the graphics are with your glasses off, the more they will “pop” on screen with your glasses on. However, if the graphics are making you feel nauseous, then this movie has failed again. Even if the movie has plenty of action in it, this should not be a problem.
The biggest rule of thumb in making this decision is whether or not the film is an animated one. Austin Visuals 3D Animation Studio thinks that Animated films are usually more suitable for 3D because it enables more control over which scenes can be made to pop. Coraline is a great movie to watch in 3D as it is an animated film to start with and it also has an odd flow of surrealism to it. Alice in Wonderland (2010) is both an animated and live action film, which makes the decision a little harder. Judging the film with the tests that were mentioned above, Alice in Wonderland is not worth watching in 3D because with the glasses off, the graphics aren’t too different.
