Stadium Keg Explainer – 2D Animation Promo Video
Project Overview
Austin Visuals produced a 2D animated explainer video for a portable draft beverage system designed for large venues such as stadiums, arenas, and event spaces. The goal of the project was to clearly communicate a more efficient, streamlined approach to beverage service—reducing congestion, improving workflow, and increasing revenue potential.
The final animation was approximately 3–3.5 minutes long and was developed as a pitch and educational video for venue operators, partners, and potential investors.

The Communication Challenge
The product behind this project introduced a non-traditional approach to beverage service. While the operational benefits were significant, the concept was difficult to explain without visuals.
The challenge was to clearly demonstrate:
-
How traditional stadium beverage service typically works
-
Why that process is labor-intensive and inefficient
-
How a backpack-based draft system changes the workflow
-
How fewer steps lead to faster service, lower costs, and better throughput
-
How operational efficiency directly impacts sales and customer experience
This required more than marketing language—it required a clear, visual explanation of a process.
Austin Visuals’ Role
Austin Visuals collaborated directly with the startup founder to develop the project from the ground up.
Our scope included:
-
Structuring the overall narrative
-
Writing and refining the script
-
Developing storyboards to visualize each operational step
-
Designing a clean, readable 2D visual language
-
Producing the animation frame-by-frame in 2D
-
Editing and pacing the final video for pitch use
The focus was on clarity and logic, ensuring the viewer could easily follow how the system worked and why it mattered.
Animation & Visual Approach
The explainer used custom 2D animation to break down a real-world operational workflow into understandable segments.
Key elements visualized included:
-
Traditional beverage delivery methods and their limitations
-
A lightweight, wearable keg dispensing system
-
Reduced packaging and simplified logistics
-
Faster pour speeds with fewer handling steps
-
Clean keg replacement and recycling
-
Operational efficiency translating into cost savings and increased sales
The animation style was intentionally instructional, making it suitable for business presentations, investor meetings, and internal decision-making.
Product Context
The system featured a lightweight, pre-chilled keg housed inside a wearable dispensing backpack. Compared to conventional tray-based service, the model demonstrated:
-
Fewer steps from storage to service
-
Reduced packaging volume and waste
-
Faster, more consistent pours
-
Lower labor requirements
-
Improved crowd flow within large venues
The explainer also showed how the same delivery model could be applied across multiple beverage types, including beer, wine, cocktails, cold coffee, cider, and kombucha.
Intended Use & Outcome
The completed animation served as:
-
A pitch video for a startup concept
-
A product explainer for venue operators
-
A communication tool for operational discussions
By translating a complex service model into a clear visual story, the animation enabled faster understanding and more productive conversations around implementation and value.
Why This Project Matters
Operational challenges like crowd flow, staffing efficiency, and service speed are not limited to a single moment in time. This project demonstrates how animation can be used to:
-
Explain complex systems
-
Improve decision-making
-
Support new product adoption
Austin Visuals continues to solve these same communication challenges today using 2D animation, 3D animation, and motion graphics across industries.
