A mysterious figure has accepted to buy a CryptoPunk NFT for more than 10.2 million USD on Larva Lab’s CryptoPunk marketplace.
On December 9, NFT CryptoPunk number 4156 was successfully sold for 2,500 ETH, equivalent to over 10.2 million USD at press time. This is a rare Ape Punk that only exists for 24 NFTs in a collection of 10,000 pieces.
This is not the most expensive NFT CryptoPunk ever sold. That position belongs to CryptoPunk number 9998 for $ 532 million in October of this year, an event that caused a lot of controversy from the community due to the transparency in NFT trading.
However, CryptoPunk #4156 was the most valuable sale on Larva Labs’ native CryptoPunk marketplace, ahead of some of the more popular NFT marketplaces like OpenSea.
